Anonymity is the first step to privacy. Surfing the Web without revealing your IP allows you to hide to the world your preferences and to avoid threats and data leaks and thefts. VPN Unlimited counts with servers all around the world that guarantee your anonymity and give your access to restricted legal pages. It encrypts your Internet traffic and protects you against prying eyes and cyberthieves.
Getting connected to one of the many servers that VPN Unlimited provides is extremely simple. You’ll be presented with a list where you can check their location and the workload they are currently handling, so that you can choose the one that better fits your needs. You can also rely on the program to choose the one that’s best for you by clicking on the “Optimal” option on the list. The connection process may take from a few seconds to a couple of minutes, depending on various factors. Once connected, you’re ready to surf the Web with a virtual IP that will protect your privacy and keep hackers away from your sensitive data.
The program’s interface also provides you with useful information, both about your account and your security and privacy settings. As for your account, you can tell the program to launch at startup so that you avoid browsing the Web unprotected inadvertently, and even add password protection to your settings. When it comes to your own protection, you can choose among various levels – thus, you can add to your basic VPN encryption Anti Malware, Stop Tracking, and AdBlock extra protection. You can also use the program’s white and black lists to define which sites are allowed and which aren’t. At the bottom of the list you’ll find KeepSolid Wise, a special technology that allows you to navigate all legal web content, regardless of where you are. It uses the TCP 443 port for higher protection, though it might affect your speed performance. Also related with censorship is the Censorship Test, which you are kindly asked to perform on your location to help VPN Unlimited to gather statistics about the Web resources in different countries.
VPN Unlimited offers you a flexible choice of plans – from a 7-day subscription scheme to an unlimited one, and from one to five devices within the same account. As with all VPN services, the level of satisfaction that you may get depends on various factors. In my case, the overall experience wasn’t terribly satisfactory, as I experienced constant disconnections with its corresponding re-connection delays while performing various tests using a laptop and a Wi-Fi connection. Changing to servers with a lower workload didn’t improve the situation.
Despite this discouraging outcome, I still believe that VPN Unlimited is a VPN service at least worth trying. You have a 7-day free trial period to help you check if it adapts to your ISP provider, your location, and the hundred other factors that make Web browsing a challenging experience at times. Its wide variety of servers located in nearly all continents, its ease of use, and its high level of security and privacy make it an option worth considering.
Encrypt and password-protect all your sensitive data to prevent unlawful use.
